This privacy notice outlines how Total Community Care (TCC) uses and protects any data and information that you provide us. This might be through being a client, working with TCC or through automated data collected when you visit our website.
We are committed to ensuring your personal and sensitive data is protected and will always seek your consent to collect and process this data.
Depending on whether you are a client or employee of TCC will reflect on what data we require from you. This may include, but not be limited to;
TCC has a legitimate interest in holding personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is to enable TCC to undertake its business activity of the provision of Health and Social Care support for individuals living in their own homes.
TCC might share the information with people directly related with the care provision of a client, and the client themselves. Information might also be shared with service commissioners, HMRC, pension providers and the national minimum data set for social care (NMDS-SC).
This information is held physically at our secure head offices and also it is stored electronically within the UK (as a server backup) in an encrypted format in accordance with GDPR requirements.
All personal information you provide us remains within the UK and will not be transferred out of the EEA.
If you have been a client or provided services or on behalf of TCC; then some information would be retained for a period of up to seven years (e.g. relating to Health and Safety of the services provided to a vulnerable client or linked to HMRC) or longer if legally necessary. Other data such as your personal contact details, verified identification details and bank information may be erased after a period of two years.
At any time, you may ask to see the data TCC hold about you to check its accuracy or request a copy. This can be done by completing a subject access request (SAR).
You also have the right to have the information we hold about you withdrawn, although please note that this may be subject to the requirements surrounding health and safety law and TCC would be notify you if this is the case.

If TCC should suspect that it’s data has been breached, we will inform the Information Complaints Office (ICO) within 72 hours of the notification of the breach.
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the ICO. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact us in the first instance.
Our website and social media pages may contain links and embedded files such as YouTube videos which will take you to third party websites. We are not responsible for data or cookies on any third party website, and you should check individual privacy policies for more information and how to manage them.
From time to time we may need to change or update this privacy notice, you should check this page occasionally to ensure that you continue to be happy with how we use your information.
