Part Time Support Worker/Carer Required In Ilford for 22.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers/Carers to support a gentleman who has a high level spinal cord injury, resulting in him having a tracheostomy and being ventilated. He is living in his family home in the Ilford area.

About the role:

  • You will support this gentleman in all aspects of daily living, which will include personal care and respiratory care
  • Provide support in social activities and interests, including attending hospital appointments and therapies.
  • Assist with domestic duties including ironing and daily food preparation
  • Assist with pet care for the family dog

Shift Pattern:

  • You will be required to work 3 days a week from 0900 – 1630 (including every Saturday). Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis.
  • Working within a team, flexibility will be required, and there will be times when shifts will include some evenings/additional weekend work to.

About You:

  • We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills who are reliable, flexible and trustworthy
  • You must hold a full manual driving licence, and be confident to drive the gentleman’s own vehicle
  • Previous care experience is not essential as full, specialist training will be provided
