Full Time Support Workers Required to form a new Care Team in Amersham

We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to form a new specialist care team in the Amersham area. You will be supporting a gentleman with a Spinal Cord Injury, resulting from a motorcycle collision, and who lives at home with his partner and son.

The Role:

  • Provide full personal care including bowel and bladder care
  • You will be supporting this gentleman in all aspects of everyday life including accompanying him to work and being an enabler in attending therapy rehabilitation
  • Support in attending social activities and appointments
  • Provide light domestic duties and food preparation

About you:

  • The right candidates will be trustworthy, flexible and reliable with a motivational, encouraging and supportive manner. You must be willing and able to fit in with general family life
  • Previous care experience is not essential, as full specialist training is provided throughout your employment
  • You must be tolerant of dogs. At present this gentleman does not have a dog but may consider this in the near future

Shift Pattern:

  • 08:00–22:00 waking day shift with a 22:00–08:00 sleepover (24 hour shift)
  • You will be working within a small team providing care and support all year round, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential.
