Full Time Support Worker required to join an existing team in the Rutland area

We have an exciting opportunity for a further Support Worker to join an existing team working with a gentleman who has a spinal cord injury, and is living with his wife in their own home in the Rutland area.

About the role:

  • All aspects of personal care, including bowel and bladder care and medication administration.
  • Support and assistance in social activities, therapies, and holidays in the UK and abroad.
  • Assist with domestic tasks and food preparation, shopping and light gardening duties.
  • Assisting with pet care (this gentleman has a house tortoise that you will be required to lift in and out of the tank).

Shift Pattern:

  • 00–22.00 + sleepover (22.00–08.00) – working 2 x 24 hour shifts together (approximately 10 days per month).
  • You will be working within a small team providing care and support all year round, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential.

About You:

  • You must hold a full driving licence and be a confident driver.
  • You will be looking for a long-term commitment.
  • You will be reliable, flexible and respectful. You will be able to take direction and also be able to use your own initiative.
  • Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
