Full Time Support Worker/Carer Required in Falmouth

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join an established specialist care team.You would be required to work with a gentleman who has a Spinal Cord Injury and is living in his own home in the Falmouth area.

The Role:

  • All aspects of personal care will be required, including catheter care and bowel care.
  • Providing support and assistance in social outings, appointments and therapy sessions.
  • Food preparation and domestic tasks

About You:

  • We are looking for candidates who are flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and caring; with excellent team work skills as well as the ability to work independently with initiative
  • A full, manual driving licence is essential, and you must be confident to drive the gentleman’s own vehicle
  • Previous care experience would be advantageous, however full specialist training will be provided.
  • Please be aware that the gentleman’s home is a completely non-smoking environment.

Shift Patterns:

  • Working a 24 hour shift which incorporates a sleepover – 16 hour day with 8 hour sleepover. You will work approximately 7-8 shifts per month
  • You will be joining a team who are providing 24/7 support on a rota basis, including some weekend and bank holiday working. You must be flexible and able to assist with cover in times of annual leave or sickness
