Providing bespoke care nationwide for clients with spinal injuries and neurological conditions
Total Community Care was formed in 2006 by Chris Freestone and Reg Perrins. They wished to create an organisation that was truly client centred and provided bespoke care teams for people living with spinal injuries and neurological conditions.
Chris is a registered nurse who has specialised in spinal cord injuries, having undertaken the spinal injuries course at the London Spinal Injuries centre, Stanmore in 1993.
Chris then led the Case Management team at the London Spinal Injuries Centre coordinating the rehabilitation and discharge of patients with a spinal cord injury.
Following this, Chris lectured in spinal cord injuries at Southbank University before joining a community care organisation in 2001, eventually becoming Operational Director.
Reg is an experienced social worker who has worked in a variety of both hospital and community settings. Reg’s last role within the statutory sector was managing teams of social workers in hospital settings with responsibility for arranging complex discharges.
Reg worked as a Case Manager for a community care provider managing a number of complex care packages. He latterly became a Director of the company leading on HR issues.
Reg has gained invaluable experience and developed expertise in commissioning, contractual arrangements, safeguarding and performance management. He recognises the needs of both commissioners and service users and is passionate about delivering services that are flexible and responsive to the individuals’ needs.
