A Football Day

Nick has been a staunch supporter of West Ham United since the age of three, but it wasn’t until this year he decided to purchase a season ticket to enjoy watching ‘Hammers’ play live at their new home – the London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, originally built for London Olympic Games 2012. The capacity of this modern stadium is 55000 and is fully accessible. For the whole season Nick has a secured a wheelchair space at the Bobby Moore Stand, which offers an amazing view of the whole pitch. The picture below was taken on 10th September when West Ham took on Watford FC, but to Nick’s dismay West Ham lost that day 0 – 1. Nick was accompanied by Kinga, his support worker, who could join him for free, but who rather than the football match per se enjoyed the overall atmosphere at the stadium. They both had a great day out, which was helped by the still sunny weather.

Thanks to Nick and Kinga for letting me share this on their behalf
